Baltimore Officiant FAQ

At Baltimore Officiants, we love answering our clients’ questions! Please read our most frequently asked questions below, and contact us directly if you need additional information!

When Should We Reserve Your Services?

Baltimore Officiants’ solid reputation means we tend to book out very quickly in the busier wedding months (April through October). If you have a particular date in mind, we suggest you reach out to us as soon as possible to check our availability for your date. Most clients reserve their officiant six to 12 months prior to the wedding. While we’ll do everything we can to accommodate short-term and last-minute requests, we can’t guarantee we’ll have an officiant available, so please act as soon as you can!

Our pricing is customized based on the date, time, and location of your wedding, as well as whether you’re having s full-scale wedding or an elopement. When you contact us, we’ll send a complete price quote, and we’ll make sure it’s the best price possible!

Which Discounts Are Available?

Every couple who works with Baltimore Officiants is given the best price available, which is why we are unable to offer specific discounts to any group or individual.

Can You Tentatively Hold a Date For Us?

Once you’re matched with an officiant, we’ll place a courtesy hold on your date for 10 days to give you the chance to speak with your officiant and e-sign your contract. We want you to be confident in your decision to hire Baltimore Officiants!

How Much of a Deposit Do I Need To Pay?

For elopement ceremonies, we collect full payment with the signed contract to simplify the process as much as possible. For full-scale weddings, we collect a minimum 50% deposit with the signed contract, and the balance 30 days prior to the wedding. Of course, if you want to pay in full at signing, you’re more than welcome, but we don’t require it.

Do You Accept Credit Cards?

Yes! We’re happy to take credit cards; in fact, they’re the only form of payment we accept! We’ll send you an online contract and payment link as part of our commitment to an easy, convenient booking process.

Are We Able To Personalize Our Ceremony?

Our signature service is customized ceremonies for our couples. Baltimore Officiants offers full personalization of every ceremony detail for full-scale wedding clients, ensuring the ceremony is completely unique and special. For our elopement clients, we offer a choice of a variety of ceremonies, so that you can find one that fits your style. More details can be found on our Baltimore Elopement Packages page.

Will You Work With Couples That Have Different Religions?

We love doing weddings that combine multiple faiths and traditions! Couples ask us for this service all the time, and we’re happy to provide you with a variety of resources to make planning an interfaith ceremony easier.

Will You Do a Religious (Or Non-Religious) Ceremony?

Baltimore Officiants can perform religious and non-religious ceremonies, as well as ceremonies that blend some spirituality without being too much. Whatever your preference, we’ll accommodate it – we want your ceremony to be absolutely perfect for you!

Do You Perform Weddings For LGBT Couples?

We are proud to provide wedding ceremonies for all couples who wish to get married! Everyone at Baltimore Officiants is united in our belief in marriage equality.

Am I Able To Change My Wedding Date, Time, Or Location If Necessary?

Of course we know that sometimes, the unexpected happens. We’ll do everything we can to accommodate a change in your wedding plans – although, unfortunately, we can’t guarantee our availability. We ask that you reach out to us immediately if you need to make a change, so that we can work together on a solution that meets everyone’s needs.

Will You Attend Our Wedding Rehearsal?

The best and most cost-effective option is usually to have a friend or family member direct your rehearsal, using our free Wedding Rehearsal Guide. Since your rehearsal won’t include a run-through of the ceremony itself, and instead is just an opportunity to practice walking in and walking out, an officiant’s presence is unnecessary. However, if it’s important to you that an officiant attend, we can provide a contract for this service at an additional fee.

Can You Do a Ceremony If We’re Already Legally Married?

We get this request often from couples who are already married (for example, military couples) and who want to say their “I do’s” in front of their family and friends. We’re more than happy to be part of these special celebrations, provided that you’ve complied with local marriage laws and can provide us with a copy of your marriage certificate.

How Do We Hire You?

Our process makes it easy! Just fill out our contact form, and we’ll get back to you with a price quote and the steps for reserving one of our Baltimore Officiants.

I Have Another Question – Can You Help?
